Speaking on the portal, Founder/Publisher, Mr. O’Lekan Babatunde, described BrandCrunch as a revolution in the Brands and Marketing genre of journalism. The platform, he explained, was dedicated to the practice of ethical journalism “but this time, we are moving away from print journalism to embrace the web which is the new and ever growing global market place”.
Originating from Nigeria to the world, Babatunde said, “the portal is inspired by the desire to objectively cover the industry and serve as a barometer to foreign and local investors desirous of delving into the business of marketing and building brands in the fastest growing and largest market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Having been in the industry for over a decade and risen through the ranks at Brand & Products Publications & Conferences, publishers of Brands & Products and M2 magazines, Babatunde, explained that the logical thing to do was to add innovation to the knowledge and experience garnered over the years in order to add greater value to the industry, advertisers/clients and also future professionals who might still be students in various institutions.
